Shockmolt - Bipolar disorder

Geography
Each pole has a temperature of absolute zero.
The northern and southern extremities are
inhabited by Hagedorns and Plancks respectively.
These superheated lifeforms are forever
complaining about the chilly weather.
Bipolar disorder is a major problem.
